Sure, this title makes it sound like I often get in the car and set off on some wild adventure.
Let's go with that.
I certainly don't live a mild-mannered day-to-day with only brief sojourns into the unknown.
This writer's retreat I'm going on? Pffttttt.... hardly interesting. An everyday trip.
OR MY FIRST EVER WRITER'S RETREAT AND I AM SO EXCITED AND OMIGOD THREE DAYS OF NOTHING BUT WORDS AND FELLOW WRITERS AND MAPLE TREATS.
I plan to use the time while I’m away to work on the third book in my urban fantasy series, and start my last read-through of the second Nayis book. If I can walk away with 10k written on the new book, I’ll be a happy camper.
This does mean you likely won’t hear from me next week. I’ll be on a plane home during my usual blog-post-writing time. Now, I might be bored enough during my 4-hour layover that I’ll pull out my laptop and start throwing down some words…. but at 1:00 in the morning, I don’t know if they’ll really be safe for reader consumption.
Maybe I’ll give it a try anyway?
For more behind-the-scenes of my recent revisions and drafting, as well as excerpts from my urban fantasy, be sure to check out my Patreon site! I’ll also be giving updates of my retreat weekend, which will no doubt be wildly entertaining.
You might feel that $1/month is no big deal so why bother, but those 100 pennies add up and provide no end of motivation for me. For those of you already there, be sure to check out today’s posts! Thank you for being there and offering your pennies to help me keep writing words for you to read for me to appreciate for you to encourage for me to keep writing.
