I was not sure if I was going to go Camp NaNoWriMo this month.
I’ve got about a dozen projects going on, and a bunch of them have deadlines coming up, which means I don’t really have time to focus on one project in particular.
Then I remembered that’s the joy of Camp. While November’s National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is all about hitting that 50k goal, camp is what you make of it. Set your goal by hours or word, and set your word count to whatever you want it to be, then join and cabin and go.
It’s all about the support and encouragement, and if you finish a book along the way, good on ya.
So this month I’m taking advantage of the virtual cabin space (not quite as relaxing as the actual cabin space, now that I have something to compare it to) to get through some projects I either need to get done…or that I’ve been putting off.
There’s something really satisfying about watching your stats and hitting your goal at the end of the month.
And by satisfying, I mean addictive.
I couldn’t so no!
So here we go — time to set up camp and get to work. Are you in?*
