Full-Time Author, Full-Time Puppy

So I took some time off last week to head out of town for my brother’s wedding (so sweet, so lovely, SO much detail that just blew me away and made me so happy that’s all behind me in my own life), but I’m coming back 2 weeks into puppy ownership.

Oh my goodness.

Let’s just say, I am so glad my husband has been on vacation as we’ve worked to get Wheatley settled into the house, because I don’t think I could have handled it on my own.

Puppy zoomies, amirite?

If you’ve ever raised a puppy, you know. YOU KNOW.

Those needle teeth. That energy. That absolute loathing of walks and waiting to get his second round of shots so it’s like working to keep him in as clean a bubble as is humanly possible.

Good times!

But I’ve also still had work to do, so that’s been the real adventure. Thank goodness, he seems happy enough to have the gate closed on his room so let us get on with our day, but even so I’ve been working until 10:30pm many nights just to make sure I stay on deadline while not leaving hubs alone TOO long with the terror demon.

Worth it? Absolutely. He’s made incredible strides in two weeks, and I can’t wait to see the dogger is grows into, and even if it means more typos in first drafts as I deal with a bit of sleep deprivation from the 3am walks,

Next step: getting Kiri Cat to settle down whenever he’s awake….
